The set bundles five products with four different jobs. The spray, the refill pack and the floor concentrate are biocidal products for surfaces, not for your pet. The rapid test is a screening of a stool sample, not a diagnosis. Giard Plus is a complementary feed, not a medicine.

How to use

How to use the set

Each product as stated on its own label or in its instructions.

Step 1
Test

Test a fresh stool sample as described in the instructions. Have a positive result checked at your vet practice.
Step 2
Clean

Bowls, beds and the carrier with the spray, floors with the floor concentrate. The contact time is on each label.
Step 3
Refill

When the bottle is empty, refill it from the refill pack. The floor concentrate never goes into the spray bottle.
Step 4
Feed

Mix Giard Plus into the food as stated in the feeding guide on the label.

Large dogs over 25 kg: 3 to 4 measuring scoops. Because its content of feed additives is higher than in a complete feed, the recommended feeding amount must not be increased. Does the set replace a visit to the vet?

No. The rapid test is a screening, not a diagnosis, Giard Plus is not a medicine, and the spray, refill pack and floor concentrate are for surfaces. Whether your pet has Giardia and what it needs is for your vet to decide.

How is this set different from the Akut set?

The Notfall set also contains the 2.5 l refill pack, enough to fill your 500 ml bottle five times. The hygiene spray, floor concentrate, rapid test and Giard Plus are in both sets.

Is the set dangerous for my pet?

The spray, refill pack and floor concentrate are biocidal products for surfaces and never go on your pet. Keep your pet off sprayed surfaces and freshly mopped floors until they are dry. Give Giard Plus only in the amount stated on the label. All information is on the labels and further down this page.

How often should I clean?

Every day while your pet is being treated by the vet, always in the same order: bowls first, then bed and carrier, floors last. You can stop once your vet gives the all-clear.

Can I put the floor concentrate in the spray bottle?

No. As the label says, the floor concentrate is diluted with water and used for mopping. Only the hygiene spray from the refill pack goes into the spray bottle.
