What it is for

The hygiene spray is for the things your pet touches every day: food and water bowls, beds and sleeping spots, scratching posts, pet carriers and cage fittings.

It comes ready to use. You spray, leave the solution on and wipe off. The active substance is active chlorine released from sodium hypochlorite, at a fixed concentration of 1.2 g/kg. No alcohol, no perfume.

For whole floors, use the floor concentrate. To refill the bottle, use the 2.5 l refill pack. Your vet practice looks after your pet’s veterinary treatment; you look after the surfaces at home.

How to use

Three steps, the same every time

Start with the feeding spot, then beds and the carrier. That way no surface gets missed.

  1. Step 1

    Spray

    Remove coarse dirt. Then spray the surface until it is fully wetted and visibly damp.

  2. Step 2

    Leave on

    Wait for the contact time stated on the label and do not dry the surface during that time.

  3. Step 3

    Wipe

    Wipe with a clean cloth or let it dry. Rinse bowls with clear water before the next meal.

Is ViPiBaX Giardien EX hygiene spray dangerous for my pet?

The hygiene spray is a biocidal product for surfaces only, never for your pet. Keep your pet away until the surface has been wiped or is dry, and rinse bowls with clean water before the next meal. All hazard information is on the label and further down this page.

How do I use the spray?

Remove dirt, then spray until the surface is visibly wet. Wait for the contact time on the label, then wipe or let dry. Do this every day while your pet is being treated, until your vet gives the all-clear.

Can I spray the sofa, blankets and upholstery?

Yes, if the fabric is colourfast. Test it on a hidden spot first, because active chlorine can attack colours. Take care with bare metals and delicate wood as well. Blankets and covers are best washed as hot as the care label allows.

Is the spray enough for my whole home?

For bowls, beds and the carrier, yes. A spray bottle is too small for whole floors: for those, add the floor concentrate to your mopping water. You get both together in the Complete Hygiene Set. For longer use, the 2.5 l refill pack refills the bottle five times.

Isn’t this just bleach?

The active substance is active chlorine released from sodium hypochlorite. Unlike household bleach, the concentration is fixed and printed on the label: 1.2 g/kg, ready to use, without alcohol or perfume. That is why you smell the active substance itself and no fragrance.
