Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
-
Klaviyo (Klaviyo, Inc., Boston, USA)
Purpose: We use Klaviyo to send our newsletter and automatic emails to people who subscribed to it: welcome emails with the hygiene plan and the discount code, a reminder if you started an order but did not complete it, a reminder about a product you looked at on our website, and tips on use after an order. For this, Shopify sends your email address, your name, your consent status and details of started and completed orders (products, quantity, order value) to Klaviyo. Klaviyo records whether you open an email and which links you click.
Script on our website: If you agree to marketing in the cookie notice, our website loads Klaviyo's script. Klaviyo receives your IP address, derives an approximate location and time zone from it, and receives details about your browser. The script sets the cookie "__kla_id" (lifetime up to 2 years, shorter in some browsers) and stores the entry "klaviyoOnsite" in your browser. Klaviyo knows you if you clicked a link in one of our emails. Klaviyo then records your visits to our website and which product pages you view (product, variant, item number, price, page address) and links this to your email address. If you have also confirmed your newsletter subscription, we send you one reminder about a product you viewed. Without your consent the script does not load. If you withdraw your consent, our website deletes the Klaviyo cookies and this entry in your browser.
Back in stock: If you use "Notify me when available" on a sold-out item, we first receive your request through our shop's contact form. Your browser then sends your email address, the item and the language of the page to Klaviyo; Klaviyo also receives your IP address. Klaviyo sends you one single email as soon as the item is available again. This is not a newsletter.
Shopify also sends customer data without newsletter consent (name, email address, orders) to Klaviyo. We do not send advertising emails to these people through Klaviyo; they only receive the "back in stock" message if they request it themselves.
Legal basis: For the newsletter and the automatic emails, your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You give it when you confirm your subscription with the link in our confirmation email. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, using the unsubscribe link in every email. For the script on our website, your consent in the cookie notice, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG; you can withdraw it at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. For "back in stock", your consent with the checkbox in the form, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. For sending customer data without consent, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is managing our customer data in one place.
Storage period: Your Klaviyo profile with the data above is kept until we delete it; we have no fixed deletion period. We delete it if you ask us to (support@vipibax.de). If you unsubscribe, your profile is kept as unsubscribed so that you receive no more emails from us. After a deletion, Klaviyo keeps a list of deleted contacts as proof of the deletion. The cookie "__kla_id" lasts up to 2 years, shorter in some browsers.
Transfers outside the EU: Klaviyo stores the data in the USA. Klaviyo, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For transfers not covered by the Data Privacy Framework, Klaviyo uses the Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission.
