Application

Easy application in 3 steps:

Prepare:Fill the sample tube with the enclosed buffer solution.
Take a sample:Using a cotton swab, take sample material from several (at least 3) locations on the fresh stool sample.
Testing & Evaluation:Place the swab into the tube, mix, add 3 drops to the test cassette and read the result after 10 minutes.

Interpretation of results:

POSITIVE:Appeartwo lines(CandT) – even if the T-line is only faintly visible. The animal is infected with Giardia.
NEGATIVE:Appearsonly the control line (C)No Giardia antigens were detected in the sample.

1. Take a sample

Collect a small amount of fresh feces from the animal using the enclosed stick and add it to the test solution.

2. Perform the test

Add a few drops of the prepared solution to the test cassette and wait 5–10 minutes .

3. Read the result

If two lines appear, the test is positive (Giardia detected). One line means negative – no Giardia present.

Was zeigt der Schnelltest an?

Der Schnelltest weist zuverlässig einen Befall mit Giardien (Giardia duodenalis) im Kot Ihres Tieres nach.

Wie funktioniert der Test?

Sie entnehmen eine kleine Kotprobe an drei verschiedenen Stellen einer Kotprobe, um eine möglichst repräsentative Probenentnahme aus einer einzelnen Kotabgabe Ihres Tieres zu gewährleisten. Anschließend geben Sie das Material in die Testlösung und tragen es auf die Testkassette auf. Das Ergebnis ist in wenigen Minuten sichtbar.

Der Test funktioniert nicht, was kann ich tun?

Wenn der Test nicht funktioniert, kann das an zu viel oder zu wenig Probenmaterial liegen. Bitte unbedingt wie in der Gebrauchsanweisung empfohlen Testmaterial auftragen. Wenn zu viel Probenmaterial aufgetragen wurde, kann der Auslösekanal verstopfen. Hier hilft es, mit einer Nadel ein wenig in das Testfeld zu stechen, um den Auslösevorgang zu starten.

Kann ich den Test selbst durchführen oder muss ich zum Tierarzt?

Der Test ist für die einfache Anwendung zuhause konzipiert. Bei einem positiven Ergebnis oder anhaltenden Symptomen sollten Sie jedoch unbedingt einen Tierarzt aufsuchen.
